Well it's morning and no progress on my pip. I am not giving up but I have a bad feeling about this. It very dry air right now and I am having some trouble getting humidity even up to 60% It should...

Patience Jaynie, sometimes 24 hours or longer from pips to breaking out!! Happens here all the time! Put a vaporizer in the room near the bator.

That is a good idea Sandy, I forgot about that. I used to use on all the time with the Top Hatch. I was able to get it up to 65 and that should do it. The second egg pipped which actually surprised...

LOL Farmgrl, that sounds so familiar I think RIM started the "step away from your bator chant" Or maybe CC. I am just peeking in the glass top and peeping just to make them feel welcome. Promise

The first one to pip is now zipped all the way around.  Maybe in 30 minutes I will have a chick.  The other one has made a little progress. It is now out,  it looks like 35 minutes later.  Yippy...

Two, little light gray babies in the bator. I guess they are lavender that is what I bought. I have never seen a Lavender chick so I really did not know what to expect. I might be able to get photos...

I just put them in the brooder,  don't worry the temp is now at 90.5 I put the thermometer in at the same time as the chicks but it has been warming all day.I just love peeps.

I'll bet they are the lavs. Remember the peeps at the show? They looked like the one holding its head up. Now you can relax and watch as their world expands.
